Well it was a wonderful summer and just like everything, it has an end. I started this blog with the intention to post every day or so, but with life being so up and down for a while, I never did. A good friend of mine told me I need to blog at least three times a week, so that is my goal for now, among other things I would like to do.
We were preparing our house to sell back in April and that kept me pretty busy with 3 littles at home. I had such high hopes of us being back in BC, living in Kelowna where I grew up. I thought it would be so great to be surrounded by family and Sophia would start school there in the fall. Everything on that fell through and we are here still. That has been very hard to accept, but I’m coming to a realization that we are where we are for a reason, I just don’t know what that reason is yet.
In the meantime, I’m going to stay busy focusing on my husband, my kids and making our home a place I can enjoy, until the day we can pack up and continue the next chapter of life.
Sophia started her first day at school today. I did the basic kindergarten stuff with her at home last year and we had a lot of fun with that. She is starting grade 1 now and was very nervous when we took her this morning. When I saw the tears start rolling down her face, I couldn’t hold my tears back, but I didn’t want her to see me cry. I wanted to hold her tight and never let go. I’m very excited for her as I know this is going to be a great year for her, learning new stuff and making new friends. I’m looking forward to when she comes home today because I know she will have lots to tell me.
Here’s a photo I caught of her as she was walking away with her new classmates. She was waving to her daddy and sisters as I took this pic.
To celebrate with new beginnings for her and I, I found this necklace from Pyrrha that I thought had a lot of meaning. It’s crescent moon that symbolizes new beginnings and the making of dreams into reality
That is all for now. Next, I will have to write about our summer! I have lots of pictures from that!
Here’s to new beginnings for anyone that may be starting one 🙂
